Fire Venturi
Not to long ago one of our guys here posted under the name Fire Venturi.
So Venturi was here about 8 years before he went to St. Louis. I think we need to push this process a little quicker this time with RR. |

Re: Fire Venturi
It's not Rob's fault our defense sucks. It's Sean Payton's. He's a meddling a$$ fool. How can Rob be successful when Payton brings in a "defensive assistant" who completely changes everything?

If he's letting Payton run roughshod over him like this, it's on Ryan... Personally, I don't get spending two draft picks to move up and draft John Jenkins, then... Drafting and acquiring Ronald Powell, Stephone Anthony, Hau'oli Kikaha, Davis Tull and Dannell Ellerbe... Only to have our best DT/NT lose 25+ pounds (Hicks) and play defensive end... Move a slow, prodding 3-4 DE in Jordan to a 4-3 DE that is somehow going to be faster... If it is Payton, he is doing to the defense what his double reverse did for his play calling reputation... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

Re: Fire Venturi
you're not serious...there was no one here but Rob last year. His own players said they couldn't move because they were thinking too much due to how overly complicated the defense was.

It's Payton!! He can't leave the defense alone so anytime he sees something he doesn't like he makes sweeping changes. |

His own players complained about how complicated the d was last season. In 13 was SP the reason the d was ranked fourth..? My guess is RR didn't have time that year to over complicate it. Who's fault was it in Dallas, SP? |

Re: Fire Venturi
I think its Payton's fault Vitt, Johnson, and Mc Griff are still there. I think most these guys have been there since Spagnolo or before then and we yielded the same results. If you look at it from a business stand point Rob is the manager while vitt and then are assistant managers that actually are the true hands ppl towards the players in there respected positions. So if the defense was horrible before Rob took over I highly doubt firing Rob and getting another DC while keeping Vitt and company will make the defense solid. Not backing Rob but i think Payton if this year is another crap year fire Rob, Vitt as linebacker coach, Johnson, and Mc Griff and start new across the board.

Evidence: he's the starting NT for the Ravens who ensured our starters could do nothing in the middle. Pushed the pocket back into our QB's face, too. He was another small school stud like Armstead (who we took earlier that round). Wow, 3rd round has been kind to us lately (Jimmy Graham, Armstead, hopefully Grayson and PJ). Hoping Jenkins returns to rookie form and wonder if it is attitude, conditioning, or run-slowing weight. |
