Tall target Coleman emerging in Saints' receiving corps

1 Attachment(s)
Having spent most of last season on the practice squad and never playing in a regular season game, the 6-foot-6 Coleman is more than 9,000 yards receiving away from approaching what the 6-4 Colston has done. Yet, even coach Sean Payton sees merit in comparing the way Coleman has looked in this year's camp to the way Colston looked as a rookie during 2006 training camp.

Man it'd be great to see him become a weapon on this offense. Coleman, Cooks and Colston. 3 Cs.

Big body with range. We will love him in the red zone.

Hope he does well in 2015 .

Also read that Joe Morgan is doing great and Brees is a big fan of him this year

He's got Drew throwing him open too.

Um!!! What happen to Toon? I heard he was solid for the 3rd wr, now I am curious if he going the make the roster after hearing so much about Morgan, Snead and now coleman

Toon will get a shot before it's said and done. Coleman is just another camp story who's never produced an NFL catch. I've seem Toon catch a ball in a game and break tackles for good YAC yardage. Several times.

Josh Morgan has been great this offseason too. I don't think there's any guarantee whatsoever that Toon makes the team. Put it this way, I've heard way more praise of Josh Morgan, Joe Morgan and Willie Snead than I have of Toon.

Matter of fact, I'm starting to think we keep the 3 C's, Josh Morgan and Willie Snead.

That's ridiculous! All of us on here know about Benson's lack of breakaway speed and his 40 yard time of 5.4 (minutes and seconds) doesn't help.

I think even the Toon supporters are slowly realizing that he's likely to be cut.

Last year he looked good at times and not so good at times. I thought just one more year in our system was all he'd need to take another step or two forward. But it looks like he's actually taken a step backwards.

With Snead and Coleman catching everything in their vicinity, and Joe Morgan looking better than he ever has. I think Toon's a goner. Even Seantavious Jones, who has been up and down, has been more consistent than Toon.
