this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Cooks is so fast he looks like he's jogging, very, very impressed by him. Snead has some of the best hands and concentration I have seen in a really long time. Willie has heart....

Re: Wide receivers
No matter how big, strong and fast you are, you have to catch the friggin' ball. Snead is the best overall WR on the team behind Colston and Cooks.

Re: Wide receivers
Just look at Cris Carter (yeah he's an absolute A-hole as a person) he was never big or fast but he had some of the best hands of any WR to ever play the game
You watch some of his highlights and he isn't out running guys, but his route running allowed to him to get open and he caught pretty much every pass that was catchable. |

Re: Wide receivers
It is Cooks, Colston, Snead, and Whoever Whatever... not even close after those 3. Frankly, none of the others make an NFL roster if cut, methinks.

Re: Wide receivers
Agreed. I think Coleman experiment is done. Has the size but is soft. Reminds me of a Jimmy Graham that just cant catch. Or a Jimmy Graham that is not Jimmy Graham but is as soft as Jimmy Graham.

Re: Wide receivers
The media is nuts concerning our recievers. Look, there are no super names like Jimmy Graham and while Stills was pretty good these two are not our team. EVERY skill position on our team catches the ball. EVERY game Drew will complete passes to 8 or 9 different receivers. Count on it.

Re: Wide receivers
Honestly I think this is a scenario that we need to get back to. We were at our best when defenses didn't know where to predict the ball was going. When 9-10 players had receptions every game. When Brees could throw for 5K without a 1K receiver. We were impossible to defend. When Jimmy came along, and as great a mismatch he was, we became the Jimmy, Jimmy, Jimmy passing game. We always felt the greatest percentage play was always his way. We got bland and predictable and easy to defend. I think this forces us back to what we do best, spread it around and keep defenses on their heels.
