Rookie cornerback P.J. Williams and second-year pros Vinnie Sunseri and Ronald Powell are among possible candidates to land on injured reserve with unspecified injuries. The PUP list has to be a serious consideration for safety Jairus Byrd if he's not back on the practice field yet (which would mean sitting him for at least the first six weeks of the regular season). Re: Injuries will force tough choices for Saints: Jairus Byrd on PUP?
I've had this bad feeling about Byrd since we picked him up. He's coming off 2 injury shortened seasons and gets hurt a few games into 2015. He hasn't been spectacular since 2011 which is a while ago now. We pay him MONSTEROUS money....Maybe it's never going to work out?/??

The curse of Sean Payton strikes again....
"He will be back sooner rather than later." His words... Just like he said Victor Butler was fine and then the very next day he was put on IR. |

Very interested to see the first injury report that will be out next week. Finally get to see what the injury truly is. I have a feeling we won't see him until week 6.

Byrd not getting on the field is bad, but if Bush starts over Warren at FS is worst.

Geez! We are two weeks away from the beginning of the season and y'all are acting like Byrd is already in the grave. If I was the coach I wouldn't let him close to a field until it mattered.
