this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Just didn't work out. It happens. Wish him the best. Someone else needs to step it up. I'm still waiting for one of these newbies to show me some hands... in a crowd...on 3rd-and-7 across the middle...shake it off then ...

Someone else needs to step it up. I'm still waiting for one of these newbies to show me some hands... in a crowd...on 3rd-and-7 across the middle...shake it off then do it again... make the adjustments when a little low or a little behind. I've seen way too much bread basket catching and arm cradling. Drops should be rare to non-existing. PLEASE! somebody other than Colston/Cooks, make it happen in the moment. |

Re: Saints release Nick Toon
We've seen this before with other players. For whatever weird reason, Sean Payton has kind of a "thing" or a man-crush, for guys whose Dads played in the league. He's got Mike Golic, Jr. and Mark Ingram on the roster right now, and I am pretty sure he's done it before with other minor "second generation" players whose Dads were in the pros, as well. Remember Payton is a frustrated/thwarted player himself -- he lives vicariously through his team. Golic Sr., Al Toon and Mark Ingram Sr. were ALL kicking around the league at the same time when Payton was dodging sacks and throwing wobblers for the '87 Bears. So for whatever reason, Payton gives these guys every opportunity, every chance, and every benefit of the doubt. It's just a thing he does.

That's thinking Stafford can be a top five qb without chucking it to Calvin or Tate.

No surprise, he had no heart. Didn't do anything.

The "Front Office" plan of "Not Having a Plan" is paying great dividends now!!! Now all we have to do is lose 16 in a row and leave the other team hurting!!! The Perfect, Perfect Season!!!
