I think this was intentionally done to help sneak Mabry through waivers.
There's a better chance of him clearing a 2nd wave of waivers since many teams addressed their need on that 1st wave of cuts. It may not work, but it just might. If we get him on the PS we can keep him. Philips will likely be back after week 1 when his salary isn't fully guaranteed. He'll be a week to week cap hit. |

If it's about the 53 best players then these nobody's we picked up should not take his place. I don't want to over analyze a back of the roster player, but this kind of thing happens every year, and I'm left scratching my head. |
