With Drew throwing to him he could be great

Friday at 6:00 pm... can we even make a roster move at this point?
I was expecting the quick cut and resign with one of the new DT's, and then adding a WR from the practice squad
I don't know how we are going into a game with just this plus FB Johnson:
89 Hill, Josh TE 6-5 250 25 3 Idaho State
82 Watson, Benjamin TE 6-3 255 34 12 Georgia
16 Coleman, Brandon WR 6-6 225 23 1 Rutgers
12 Colston, Marques WR 6-4 225 32 10 Hofstra
10 Cooks, Brandin WR 5-10 189 21 2 Oregon State
83 Snead, Willie WR 5-11 195 22 1 Ball State

Two TE's and 4 WR's are quite common for gameday. We'll make some more moves Monday after vets contracts aren't guaranteed.

I wonder why the Saints didn't give Andy Tanner a look this year. The guy made the squad out of camp last year before we had injuries in the LB corps and had to move him to the PS. Guy really impressed Payton.

They didn't give him a look since he was too busy selling insurance.

He was on the practice squad for years and his eligibility ran out. Payton liked him and kept him around as long as he could but he ain't making a 53 man roster.

I feel like he thinks we are just fine if we didn't sign Nicks. Nicks was a good player and probably could be better than average again with the right QB. I guess Payton liked what we have enough to roll with it.
Wish I was that confident

So Eli Manning and Andrew Luck weren't the right QB's? (Right doesn't mean the opposite of left)

Seantavious Jones promoted to 53 man roster so we will go into game day with 5 WR's. Don't know the corresponding roster move.

Placed Davis Tull on IR

Exactly. And there is only ONE football...

Please don't forget that we have running backs as well...

With five-plus offensive linemen that have to be paid to block so any one of those other ten offensive players can break the goalline plane for us...

And there's that thing with the defense...

Disagree. Every game last year we either carried 5 WR and 2 TE or 4 WR and 3 TE's. Watson and Graham were active all year, and Hill played 13 games.
Receivers were active for a total of 71 games (4.5 per game)

It's not about how many balls there are; it's about depth/fatigue/injuries/options. Pretty difficult to run a 4 WR or 2 TE set if you don't have the healthy players to do it
