Just got a text from WWL saying Cam Jordan facing misdemeanor sexual battery charges. This is like a bad dream. The hits just keep on coming huh.

Sources say that the incident happened at the Republic nightclub sometime either late Saturday night or early Sunday. The New Orleans Police Department confirmed an incident report was written at Republic, but a spokesman had few details about it.

According to sources, the report was made by a man and his girlfriend alleging that Jordan swatted the woman on her buttocks and then had a minor scuffle with her boyfriend.

The way to avoid these type of things is to focus solely on football and not horseplay. Stay away from bars & night clubs during the regular & preseason. It's just that simple.

Agreed. That's not how a leader should act... But then again he's never embraced the leadership role. Junior freaking Galette became a captain before him for God's sake! I'm pretty critical of Cam on the field for not having that killer instinct but I've never heard of him stepping up and being a leader off the field either.

NEW ORLEANS - Cameron Jordan, one of the star defensive linemen for the New Orleans Saints, is being investigated for an incident at a nightclub in the warehouse district that occurred over the weekend....

Eyewitness News reached out to the Saints but has received no official response at this point...

The National Football League does have a personal conduct policy that governs investigations of this type. That policy does not require an official law enforcement investigation in order for the league to launch one of its own. A spokeswoman for the NFL would not say whether they are looking into the incident involving Cam Jordan at this point.

The NOPD confirmed Tuesday evening that they are investigating the incident, and that they are reviewing surveillance video. The investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been filed and no arrests have been made.

You all are blowing this thing up way too much. The guy is at a club having a good time, probably sees a nice looking chick. First, why was she at the club with her boyfriend, and secondly she is in a nightclub and someone touched her butt... holy ****, that's unheard of! On top of that I bet the boyfriend at the time of the slapping wasn't even around.

Get off your self righteous high horse for a minute and realize that Jordan is in his 20's with more money then he can count and about to go into a 16-20 week grind. I see no issue in the guy being at the club AT THIS POINT IN THE SEASON. It's not like he was filmed getting into a fight at the beach and whipping some lady with a belt....

I don't have a problem with him being at a club. I also don't have a problem with a woman going to a club with her boyfriend.
