Would like to have seen Pierre Warren signed...
Though Warren's strip-forced fumble was negated by Jean-Baptiste running out of bounds on a punt play, Pierre Warren had really started to show more of his play-making ability that somehow is not obvious to Saints coaches... And I don't need to bring up that he seems to be the only Saints defender in five years that comes up with interceptions... What like to know what the deal, issues Saints coaches have with him... |

After clearing waivers, all 32 teams passed on signing him to their practice squad. Maybe he just isn't that good? |

He's not a finished product, but the play-making ability is there. We also have a lot of injuries in our secondary. That makes cutting him particularly puzzling to me. |

While he has a nose for the football, he does get himself out of position from time to time. As far as not getting picked up. we are a year down the line. There are likely newer prospects now in front. But I would not discount his being picked up somewhere down the line, maybe even sooner than later. We still ought to stash him on our practice squad.

I was surprised he was cut to start with, and equally surprised we didn't sign him to our practice squad. Maybe he just made a ton of mistakes that we didn't see. BTW: We just signed a street free agent safety, not named Pierre Warren, to our 53 man roster. I don't get it. |
