New Orleans Saints re-sign Tim Hightower, Mike McGlynn, waive Seantavius Jones and Toben Opurum
The New Orleans Saints flurry of activity from Saturday didn't last long.
The Saints re-signed veteran running back Tim Hightower and offensive lineman Mike McGlynn after releasing them on Friday to open up spots to promote several practice squad players. Two of those practice squad players—wide receiver Seantavius Jones and fullback Toben Opurum, who were promoted to the active roster to play special teams against the Cardinals—have been waived. Its bottom of the roster shuffling.
No surprise at all. |

We are bi-polar with RB's this year. How many do we need seriously. A WR that will catch the ball when it's on target or maybe fight for one now and then. I could live with that move.

Pick a number..............Coach wants to see you, bring your playbook! The "No Plan" plan in action! Cut two guys to make room for two guys only to cut them to resign the two you just cut! Yeah, they have a plan!

If anything it shows they do indeed have a plan and stick to it every week. If Jones and Opurum clear waivers, they're likely back on the practice squad. |

I think the 2015 upgrades and draft (except for Peat who came in to camp out of shape) have been great. But the fanbase is just critical of the front office as we've wasted a couple drafts and 2012-14 personnel decisions were times we could have re-loaded but we squandered chances and now we have to turn the roster over to "rebuild". |

I don't pay any mind to all the shuffling, but the frustration that Halo pointed out is definitely boiling over. All the tinkering is akin to someone scratching on a chalk board, as we sit here and look at massive depth issues, and huge salaries for unproductive and injured players.
It's just a nuisance for some. The tinkering isn't what bothers me, it's just everything else that I mentioned. Other than that, everything is peachy. |
