Drew Brees ties Dan Marino on career completions list during Week 1 loss to Cardinals
Put it in the FWIW column!
The New Orleans Saints and quarterback Drew Brees might have lost their season opener on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals, however, Brees completed 30 passes (for 355 yards) to tie Dan Marino for third place all-time on the NFL's completions list. The Saints QB has completed 4,967 passes in his 15 years in the league for 56,388 yards, so far. Brett Favre holds the record with 6,300 completed passes in his career. New Orleans native Peyton Manning is second on the list with 5,951. On Brees' first completion this Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he will pass Marino for third place all-time.
