I was fortunate enough to watch nearly a full week of training camp at the Greenbrier and when the field was in first team mode Ingram was in. He was in and running strong and the line was blowing up holes. Robinson was out early with an undisclosed injury and didn't play much if at all until last week. Why he started all those series is beyond me but Ingram coming in only for 3rd down is why the running game failed epically. He would only come in for so poorly disguised screen plays it was amazing that he got as many yards in that role as he did. The big play for 60 was a defensive error that worked out for our favor but then we went right back to Robinson and obvious screen plays that got us nothing more than 3 points.

Does anyone agree that Ingram is ready to be a 3 down back and that one he gets rolling he's hard to stop? Bring Robinson in to spell Ingram occasionally and for change up but the offense is not going to get better until they rely on Ingram full time and make Defs respect the rushing game.

Or am I lone man on an island with this observation?

I like the plan. I've seen it work before, too. Ingram is ambitious -- there is no payoff in limiting him.
