Anything can happen in sports. And I'm not disappointed in the team's lack of effort. So, it's possible for the Saints to make a run. The defense is better and growing. Snead and Coleman show promise. Who knows? We'll see. As a lifelong Saints fan, all I mostly have is hope.

True, I'll just watch and hope, but the team I saw today was a 5 win team, with 10 win talent. That kinda screams coaching and a lack of leadership and accountability.

It can happen. I'm not expecting it, just open to the possibility of turning it around.

Agree with your assessment completely. The 2015 Saints look like an extension of 2014. What happened to the "new" Saints that were supposed to take the field after disposing of all the locker room cancers.

My opinion is that the year away took the edge off of Payton. Payton, and the assistants who replaced those that went on to bigger and better jobs after the SuperBowl win are being consistently out coached.

So, maybe Payton wasn't the football genius everyone made him out to be. Maybe he just had the right mix of an exceptional staff, solid players and a great QB in his prime.

He and Loomis haven't shown the ability to sustain a winning program like the Pats and Pack. Basically, we are now just another NFL team. OK one year. Sucky the next. In short, the Saints are no longer elite.
