And remember, folks, there are a lot of fake Twitter accounts and "fake" sports news sources out there. People love to troll people with stuff like this.

I'm old school, I am not gonna panic until I hear it from Fletcher Mackel or Jim Henderson or somebody like that. Some random dude from Metairie who calls into a radio show, is not a source.

Re: RUMOR - Torn Rotator Cuff

I don't think it's a rumor, didn't he say himself it compromised the pass to Cooks. He's hurt. If he is hurt he needs to sit. Same thing happened to Brooks, we could have made the playoffs that year if they would have benched him, we were like 8-1 then nothing until they finally sat him. By then it was too late.

It probably boils down to sprain versus tear. I don't know the actual recovery time for either but I'm pretty sure some games will be missed.

Is day a docta in the house???

Re: RUMOR - Torn Rotator Cuff

I hope he can return, just not hurt and not this situation again:

"Both Brooks and the coaching staff were reluctant to replace Brooks afterwards, who was obviously hurting. His passing soon became erratic and sluggish after the game. On fourth down during the last play of the Cincinnati loss, Brooks threw an errant pass out of bounds to avoid an interception. To the dismay of fans, the team announced during the off-season that Brooks would indeed need shoulder surgery."

So he threw two and half more quarters with a torn rotator cuff?
Unlikely

So you think it's likely that he was throwing with a torn rotator cuff?

He was throwing with whatever injury he suffered on that hit. I have watched every pass he has thrown in his Saints career, including those earlier in the game, and those passes after the hit were severely affected by something. He is tough enough to throw through a cuff injury because he has more guts than any QB we have ever had.
