If we win against Carolina
How many people are going to cry that Luke should have been in all along and that Brees is done? I can see it now.
Looking back over the last 2 games, and remember its only TWO games here are some things to take away. Consider the fact that we have more new players on our roster than any other team in the NFL. In fact almost twice as many. Consider the fact that most of our defense is comprised of rookies. Consider Drews surrounding cast is probably a quarter of the talent that he has ever worked with here. Lastly consider that it takes a new offense time to establish a rythem. Week one we played the Cardinals who I believe are a very legit Super Bowl contender with a very good offense. It wasnt pretty at first but we were away on the west coast for our debut. It looked bad and the Cardinals looked to be running away with it. All of a sudden we turned a corner and began to dominate. We improved. Not after a week of play, not after a bye, but we improved during the game. That is better than last year. Our offense started to click a little and we started to see flashes. In the end a stupid ass call didnt help our chances. The game was closer than the score indicated. Tampa Bay, always a slug fest whenever you play a division rival. We looked like crap, Brees looked bad, inaccurate, sluggish, etc. Paytons play calling was perplexing with short passes and screens. Now we know why. At least there is a legitimate reason in Brees' injury. Payton called the plays he had to call. One can argue he should have pulled Brees if he thought the injury was bad enough to cause Brees to play worse than Luke. You give your HOF SB winning franchise QB the benifit of the doubt for at least one game. I really cannot fault Brees for that. I am not a Brees homer, I realize he is in decline and have said for years that we needed to get more balanced with the run and add at least one legit pro bowl receiver to the mix. When he was younger he was so accurate he made scrubs look like all stars. Now he is going to need a little help. When healthy he is still better than anyone else we can get this year or next. His salary has to come down. He has to get some weapons, but IF he can get healthy we can win with him for the next two years. We win a few games with Luke and people are going to bail on Brees left and right. He brought us our first Super Bowl. For that I will give him next year. Not so sure about Payton. |

IF we win?
IF??? I have no doubt that we'll win Sunday, but it won't be strictly because of McCown. Our defense will rise to the occasion. |

Someone please get The Dude a nurse. Or at least one that plays the part. Hell, I'll contribute just to get him off the ledge.

I only read the first sentence, so I'll answer that:
Zero. Zero people will say that. |

Luke is gonna have to chunk it all game long to win. And its likely he'll be facing 8 or 9 in the box so I think he may have a pretty good game passing it. |

Luke Kuechly out helps but A.J. Klein is a solid back up. The difference in this game will not be Drew it will be if the saints can contain CAM. that will be the difference maker. Defense not offense is the key |
