Re: McCown Not bad But Colston??

The only rebuilding team with a HOF quarterback paying multiple players more than what they are worth.

Throw that together with a defense that can't decide if it's a 3-4 or 4-3 in the offseason and multiple bad choices by the coaches, including predictability on offense and hey presto;

There are your 0-3 saints

McCown was great.

Colston? He's done.

Watson fumble? Bad timing.

Browner? Awful, just awful.

Defense? Still can't cover a TE. Seriously? He's their only receiving threat. How can we leave him uncovered?

I kept saying that to myself about Olson. Nobody but him to worry about, and he's running free... Super.

Yeah, and it's not like it was a secret going into the game, he was the most targeted and most productive receiver for Newton the previous two games.

My question is, why do they keep trying to throw that back endzone pass to Cooks, Brees had the same the result, dude is like 5 foot nothing?

What's even more sad is our starting CB was covering Olsen! He got abused all game.

I hope the D coordinators have come up with a game plan for J Witten.

Typically a safety or LB, depending where he lines up.

Vaccaro should get most of the duty, but our LB's should cover him him in zone.

Bang Whitten at the line of scrimmage and throw the timing off for 1/2 second.
May be the 1/2 second Jordan needs to seal the deal.
Take Whitten away and make the other throws have to be perfect.
Poor Colston.
Didn't go much in pre-season.
They just hoped the magic would once again impress once the light came on.
The past few injuries gave him alligator arms.
I've watched him go from full-layout and take the hit
to catch it in the gut so I can cover up...
and he's taken some hits and held on for the catch.
Every year he gets up slower and slower.
It's kinda sad to see.

I saw Vaccaro covering Olsen. He barely cought him after 30yds gain. It's unbelievable how much speed/quickness he lost. I don't think he can be successful true safety in this league.
