448 total points allowed in 2014 season.
AVERAGES to 28 points allowed per game by our defense.
Saints go 7-9.

2015 (so far)
L 19 - 31, L 26-19, L 27-22

84 total points allowed in 3 games in 2015.
AVERAGES to 28 points allowed per game by our defense.
Saints are currently 0-3.

You could go back 20+ years except superbowl year and those numbers would be about the same.we haven't had a decent defense since the dome patrol years

Difference is 2013 we averaged 19 points allowed.
Last year and this we're allowing 28 points allowed per game.

That's 9 extra points per game and probably accounts for 4 or 5 losses.
If we can improve and get the average allowed per game below 20 we are a contender.

In the short term = FIRE ROB RYAN!!!

damn right it does. either it is the system or the players, but the lack of pressure is frigan ridiculous. I frigan said we should have fired him last year. Matter of fact I said we should have never hired him, but then i ate my crow in 13. now look at this mess. And we have talent on d s i am not even listening to that

weee at this clip we are going to allow 448! tied with last year. so thing are not getting any worse lol

By season end we should have less than 448 if everyone returns healthy and plays. so between 448 and 304?
