But its obvious he has talent and will most likely progress toward one of the better MLB's in the league. |

With those guys, we might actually have a win. No wait we would have all of the wins.

Re: Players I wanted to draft
Criticism of Cooks selection is fair, hell, I made the following points when to moved up to take Cooks...
We've had too many other needs to combine to high picks into one player... He's a great player with a great motor, but he's small and we needed an "x" receiver who's minimum 6' 2" to compete with the now more physical cornerbacks (i.e. Seattle, Carolina)... But we've also got other needs and you can't pass on other players at other positions just because we didn't get WR right - think Detroit tried that a few years ago and that GM set 'em back years and passed on some great players... Cooks is going to be a dynamic weapon, but we had more basic needs that should have taken priority and Jeff Ireland came in and stabilized us so that we had better draft management... That this year's draft class will go down as one of our best in franchise history is directly attributable to Ireland's presence (per Coach Payton's public statments) that Ireland will keep things calm and make sure we are better in our draft management... |
It's not that my way is the right way, I just make the right way my way...

There's a wide receiver on the block right now and he would be a BIG help to us.
