Ball contol by the O was really good it helped keep the D off the field. I haven't looked at the time of possession yet. I really liked the play from Kelenete at G and Lelito held up fairly well. Formula for sucess= keeping the D off the field. One other thing, if Murphy didn't score on ST it wouldn't been a close game. Props to ST for once.

No they didn't stumble across a formula for success. They stumbled across the offense we ran up until 2013. In other words, spread the ball around! I guess we became used to our offense having two plays: desperately heave it to Jimmy Graham or throw a screen pass.

A well balanced offence.

In short, yes.

Unfortunately they stumbled on themselves in the second half.

Luke McCown actually made some really good throws last week

The WR's just let him down like they always do.

I bet SP feels pretty stupid for not drafting a WR or two now.

If by success you mean losing, then the Saints are guaranteed to be successful.

be conservative and protect the ball at all cost.

+1. I read an interesting stat today ... Saints rank 7th or 8th in rush attempts. At least we are trying, but we need to do a tad better in creating space for our RB's. Not sure if you saw any of the Cows/Atlanta game but Devante Freeman rushed for over 130 yards on about 30 carries. Initially he didn't have much success running but they stuck with it & second half
Dallas got exploited.

A heavy dose of Ingram, Spiller and Khiry will keep the Cows on their heels.
