sorry but I can't take anything that grades Strief as a +1 seriously

WHOA... I didn't even have Hau'oli Kikaha being drafted, and there were teams that didn't even have him on their boards because of numerous knee injuries. The Saints could've A) obtained safer players who are close in terms of talent, or B) waited several rounds to draft Kikaha. This is a major head-scratcher.

I was critical of us picking Kikaha in the 2nd round as well, but what do I know?! I'm sure glad I was wrong.

That pick got graded "F" initially if I remember right.

What I like so far: improvement from his mistake in the AZ game of allowing Palmer to break containment for a TD pass in Week 1 to now in Week 4's win. His play is actually showing results with Week-to-Week improvement quicker. Anthony's progression has been slower, but last night Anthony took a turn in the right direction for the first time this season.

Look at Kelmete's grade (-4.6, thats almost Jason David bad). Perhaps much of the pressure wasn't really Strief's main responsibility.

But yeah, I would have thought he'd at least be negative overall.

Kikaha and Anthony are quickly becoming two of my favourite players
Kikaha has 3 sacks in 4 weeks and 2 forced Fumbles, the guy is going to be incredible for us.

Imagine if we draft or sign a beast OLB to replace Hawthorne, we might just see play close to the Dome Patrol once the guys have got a couple years under their belts.

I've said it in another thread. Kelemete had an absolutely atrocious performance and was indeed a big part in Strief looking worse than he played.

It was disappointing because he looked pretty good against Carolina. I thought he may be just what we needed for a declining Evans. Uhhh, maybe not.

Also Evans was not missed. Our line wasn't great but it wasn't when he was playing.

The same thing can be said for Spiller. And what solid night? He stalled a drive that could have led us to a blowout.

Strief got beat twice for sacks how did he get a positive Pass Blocking?

If Kelemete is -4.6 Strief was a -5.0

Because perhaps it wasn't his responsibility? Maybe he shifted to help Kelemete and we all saw it as Strief's fault, yet the experts know it was Kelemete's fault?

Just speculating, I'm not gonna pretend to be an NFL expert on who was supposed to block who.

Its similar to when Shanle was blasted for years. An actual NFL expert pointed out that numerous times Shanle would see that someone else blew their assignment, then tried to compensate and the whole world sees Shanle trailing some TE or RB and assumes it was his fault when it wasn't at all.

None of us are experts. We think we know, but we don't. (Cue the Mora "you think you know" video for the 700th time )
