That is proof that its us, not the players. Payton can blame RR all he wants but at the end of the day Payton is the head coach and should step in if he thinks Rob is that bad. Payton is a one trick pony. Great offensive coordinator but bad head coach. Its like he has told himself that he is so good at offense that he doesnt need to be bothered to learn or coach anything regarding defense.
I was stuck at home w/ no Saints football and watching the end of the Chiefs game, Tracy Porter looked pretty good with the Bears. Had a clutch defleciton on third 3rd down to help in the Bears comeback. Maybe we should have picked him up instead of committing to Browner .

Re: Random Musings by the Dude

OK so your QB is not 100%, even still bruised rotator cuff....
OK so the o-line has aged vets on that play about 75% of their potential from a few years ago...
OK so rookies are trying to rotate on your o-line...
OK so the WR talent poole is about 1/2 what it was even a year ago...

THEN Why come up with a gameplan that forces your QB to hold the ball for 10 seconds for a passing play to develop???

Why jeopardize your partially injured QB?
Why allow your o-line to be exploited drive after drive?
Why put your QB in situations where no one is open and he tries to force it!?

If you know your WR won't get separation, why put them in finesse patterns when timing patterns, slants and fades with quick release is what they can accomplish?

I'm completely confused with our game-plan on offense.

Me, too. Did y'all know that Ingram has more touches (92) than every player on the offense besides Brees with the next closest KRob with 43?

Think about that. Mark Ingram is the center of our offense now.

With our patch-work NFL o-line and a running back who's claim to fame is running behind Bama's NFL-caliber o-line in college, we sit and wonder why we can't outscore anyone.

Ingram is about to play easier run defenses coming up. Arizona, Carolina, and Philadelphia can stop the run. Dallas, Idk.

Oh, I get it...trust me, I get it. I'm just as confused & frustrated as some others are as to why Ingram is getting double the touches as KRob (92 to 43) and why in the wild-wide-world of sports has Spiller touched the ball only 20 times in 3 games? Reckon C.J. can't grasp the offense?

Ingram also is 2nd in receptions with 24...that is 1 behind Cooks' 25 receptions. That is how bad our receivers & tight ends are at getting open.

This offense is a hot mess. We rack up yards only when we're down 2 or 3 scores in the 4th, it seems. It sure pads them stats, though. Sorry for that, but ain't it kinda sad to keep Brees in there chunking it around 39-10 late in the 4th Quarter when you have Grayson on the sideline to develop for the future? Seems selfish on Payton's & Brees' part to me, but what do I know...

Is there any way to quadruple like this?

Well you'd be the only one confused. 31 other teams aren't confused at all.
