I don't think we should have let our vets go in 2014

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; This all started with Tracie Porter. THE man who hand-delivered the two greatest wins in Saints' history. I know he had "lost a step". But he was an ICON. And it opened the exit door....

Some rumors are floating around that he has a drug and alcohol addiction, as well as horndog-itis. That may or may not be true, and if it is we don't know to what extent.

I think he's just burnt out, and we have a hodge podge of talent. We have about 80% of the ingredients for a great pot of gumbo, and 80% for a great pot of chili, and 80% for a killer jambalaya. We just don't 100% of the ingredients for any of them.

Pick a system and focus on acquiring players that fit it.

Just like Roman Harper was a near perfect fit for a Gregg Williams defense, he was a bad fit for a system that uses 2 deep zone safeties.
Harper though showed up against our biggest rival.

SP is in denial about his staff and the team. He needs to just acknowledge they are rebuilding and accept it. If he doesn't they will never improve.

I stand by what I said. Losing that familiarity against our rivals hurt. Do you think Stephone Anthony knows how heartbreaking it is to lose to Atlanta?

Coulda woulda shoulda. That is what pisses me off about the Graham trade. We let go of some good players and some leadership to afford him. We should have let him hold out or whatever. I still like the trade for Unger but Jimmy shouldnt have been given that much money in the fist place.
