Re: I don't think we should have let our vets go in 2014
Face it... We are missing 25 former players
who have been replaced with players with no experince and almost NO TALENT. Who ever expected us to be better? https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...9ecf7e7518.jpg |
Re: I don't think we should have let our vets go in 2014
And how were we to keep those players with the salary cap limitations with which we were faced?
Brees and Condon decided how much they had to have, and we had a choice to make... Keep the team intact or keep Brees... And that's the choice you leave yourself with if you don't plan and make moves before the moves are decided for you... |

You just made my point. Inexperience. They should sit on the bench and watch the starters. |

Well then. Not now.

You can make a case for Jenkins and Harper but don't underestimate what a change in scenery can do for a player's career.
Poor draft decisions. Poor talent evaluation. Paying the wrong players. This is more of what got us where we are today. 2015 looks bright in terms of young talent, at least on defense. The opposite is true on offense. |

The only reason I didn't 100% like the Jenkins move was because, IMHO, he had his best year that season. Then we let him walk.

Remember Patrick Robinson here? This dude used to play 15 yards off the line of scrimmage & often times he was toasted, yet in SD they use him in the nickel w/proper technique & he makes plays. I blame our coaches :disgusted:. |
