Colston separated his shoulder
Damn, this is not good. Are there any decent recievers out there?
|
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
Guess we'll be giving one of the Morgan's a call today.
|
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
Trade for Alshon Jeffery and sign him long term. He won't ask for unrealistic amount of money. Big guy with great hands. Great blocker also.
|
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
Well at least he is off the field for those who were ready for him to go....now what?
Praying for you Colston... |
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
It was easy to see, I said he had a dislocated shoulder during the live chat.
|
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
Well it's looked like this for quite a while now.
|
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
Damn. We could tell something went wrong when he landed badly on his shoulder.
Edit: Coleman, S Jones .. it's time for you guys to step up and produce or move on. 5 games into the season, pickings are slim on the street. |
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
Well we certainly don't need anyone who can get open deep. :p
|
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
IR... call Andy Tanner.
|
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
Unfortunate. We all obviously seen him unable to lift his arm but yet he was still in the game, Brees still throwing passes to him.....it's just beating a dead horse about this coaching staff now.

Re: Colston separated his shoulder
Damn! Potentially the last we will see of the Quiet Storm in a Saints uniform!
|
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
I didn't have to be a doctor to diagnose that. However, Sean Payton had no idea as he ran like a zombie through his routes.
This team has become a joke. |
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
What a trooper. In hindsight, he very obviously did not want to be taken out the game yesterday, because he knew that was it.... I'm sorry for the dropped passes he made while he was obviously completely banged up, but still...sheez what a warrior that guy is.

Re: Colston separated his shoulder
If this is his end, and I hope it isn't, it sucks that he has to go out like this. But, at least he can say he left it all on the field.
Much love Mr. Colston. You're efforts were very much appreciated. |
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
Get well soon Mr Colston!
One of the best players ever to wear the black and gold uniform and with the best attitude! GEAUX SAINTS!!!! |
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
Coleman needs separation or he's not going to be able play Colston's spot. Damn.
|
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
Nothing new, he's been separating his hands from the ball for several years now.

Colston holds the NFL record for most receptions in a player's first two seasons, with 168. He helped the Saints achieve victory in Super Bowl XLIV with 7 receptions for 83 yards, and is the Saints' all-time franchise leader in receiving yards, yards from scrimmage, receiving touchdowns, total touchdowns, and total receptions. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marques_Colston |

This isn't good? It sucks he got hurt but as far as him not playing so he can drop balls is GREAT. And yes there is one his name is Cordarelle Patterson if the FO can get their heads out of their butts. |
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
And I do appreciate his past contributions but its time to really move on.
That said my loyalty to our past historical success is to DREW BREES. Did Rodgers skip a beat without Jennings? Did Manning skip a beat when he left Wayne for Thomas? |
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
This sucks big time. Its a shame some people here don't understand what a guy like Colston brings to the team. Hope he gets well soon.
|
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
HEY GUYS....is it just me, or??????
What a tough MoFo Marques Colston is !!! Did you see him out there trying to play football, w/ a separated shoulder? You would be rolling around on the grass crying like a soccer player. Lets give the man some props. Thank You Marques for all you've done for us. You ROCK. Thank you for helping us get a SUPER BOWL RING for the first time (and who knows if ever again) in Saints History. Get better soon, speedy recovery, best wishes, and come back fast. We need you. ------LOVE, WHODAT NATION there. |

Re: Colston separated his shoulder
Duron Carter from the Colts practice squad.
Tre McBride from the Titans practice squad. Jordan Taylor from the Broncos practice squad. DiAndre Campbell from the 49ers practice squad. Jake Kumerow from the Bengals practice squad. Ed Williams from the Packers practice squad. Issac Blakeney from the Washington practice squad. |
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
Trade for megatron for mark Ingram and a 4th.....
|
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
Everyone on here wishes Colston the best, man has sacrificed his body for a long time, basically playing TE which is other than RB, the most brutal position in football. I know he's a WR but he runs TE routes and constantly gets nailed. The man has paid his dues and some. All the respect in the world. I hope he recovers. I don't know why he has struggled catching balls but it's likely injuries are catching up to him. Unfortunate but I hope he retires a Saint.

Re: Colston separated his shoulder
Very sad to see.
|
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
Oh Boy!
|
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
Every thing that skymike said.
Colston played tough. And over the years he has taken his fair share of licks to catch throws that were not on the numbers. |
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
If this is how it comes to an end then Thank You Colston. Thanks for being team first, "me" second. Thanks for bringing a championship to New Orleans and thanks for giving your all each and every Sunday
|
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
Just more foolishness from the coaching staff. It was obvious he was hurt in the game, and a guy like Colston isn't going to take himself out just like Brees. The coaching staff should have pulled him so he didn't further hurt himself, which might have happen.
As for moving forward; Colston was having an awful year and might be done after this it's a shame for Colston but he is another player we need to move away from. Love everything he did as a Saint. |
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
We need to sign another WR. We only have 3. Colston is in my top 5 of all time favorites. So underrated!
|
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
WR should have been addressed because now we are paying the price
I understand why Stills was let go (attitude issues) but you don't just let go of the leading receiver without addressing the position . Cooks is not a number 1 receiver, he's a gadget player and I think we need to use him to his strengths more, he's not getting nearly enough touches on offense. We don't have a number 1 receiver and Whilst we always played spread offense, when we need a play - Colston would make it. That made him our Number 1, however, Colston is done....he's offers nothing but opportunities to kill drives now. We need an AJ green, Alshon Jeffrey, Julio Jones type of receiver and we need an O line that can block someone. |
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
We need possession WR and they bring back Morgan.
|
Re: Colston separated his shoulder
I am quite sure the coaching staff knows what we need in the next draft and I would expect WR is top on the list.
