Re: Hocker
Oh the days when we had a clutch guy like Morten or even Carney from inside the 40. We took it for granted when a FG was almost an automatic.
Whoever said it is right, the talent pool of kickers has diminished. There are not more guys who are with the same team for 10+ years anymore. It's a couple years and done it seems for everyone. That is a position that is tied so much to confidence and just streaky consistency in the set up. |
Re: Hocker
0-29 3 - 3
30-39 4 - 5 40-49 1 - 3 50+ 1 - 2 9-13 over all serviceable but stats for 40-49 must be watched. |
Re: Hocker
Yep. We have to get the 3 when kicking from inside the 40.
When those start coming up zeros too often he has to go. When those efforts come away with no points, it starts to weigh on team confidence and decision making in that part of the field. |
Re: Hocker
Two missed FGs would have been huge in a typical Saints/Falcons game that is usually decided by 3 points, I cut him some slack with the game winner miss as a rookie, but those two misses are worrisome.
Ingram going, I see those comments points. Robinson looks good, runs downhill, and one guy usually doesn't stop him. Ingram got stood up pretty frequently last night and only seems to run downhill when they are near the endzone. But Hocker is the pressing issue for now. |

Re: Hocker
here is the thing, the miss in the Cowboys game could have cost us the game. The two misses last night could have cost us, that is effectively taking a td OFF THE BOARD. hE NEEDS TO GET HIS **** TOGETHER. hE NEEDS TO MAKE 51 YARD FG'S.

Re: Hocker
I don't trust him.

Re: Hocker
I didn't think he won the kicking job coming out of camp.
