Just some perspective
I was interested in checking something out. I was not a fan of Beasley and was glad we did not draft him. Anyway, I wish I could say I even knew who Kika was before he joined us, but I didn't.
That said, quick look at their seasons so far: Kika has like 34 tackles and 4 sacks Beasley has 15 and 2 I like it Oh and just as an FYI- Anthony has 38 and 1 |

Re: Just some perspective
Knowing we desperately needed a pass rush I have to admit I was high on Beasley and was praying he dropped to us. I knew he wouldn't. He reminded me of Clowney like freakish speed and athleticism. I also did know of Kikaha but I pretty much wrote him off as a prospect. I misunderstood that the ACL problem was one issue and then a couple clean up follow ups. I took it as he had 3 ACL tears and didn't think he could make it. I also thought here was a guy who may have thrived off being in the same defense as other first round talents like Danny Shelton and Shaq Thompson. I am glad I was very wrong.

Kikaha 4 sacks-3 forced fumbles
Fair to say he knows how to get pressure and can hard hard. Not seen a game this year as im stuck without tv or net access in hospital but i think him and Anthony are good building blocks for a decent linebacker corps. If we can find a top NT we will look pretty good |

Re: Just some perspective
That sack fumble Kikaha forced near the end was a great effort. It was kind of a coverage sack, but Kikaha was just about getting his head pulled off. I could clearly see it live, and I couldn't believe there was no call. But he got around his man anyway and made the play.
The burst off the line and the effort are all there. If he gets his technique down, he'll have a 20 sack season some day. |
