Re: Sean Payton back in the saddle
It really was a strong game plan. It pretty much said last night we can't protect the pocket so guess what, let them have it. We'll make coin outside of it.
4th down TD, not playing percentages either. That's how you change games. He went with his gut. They would likely play run and regardless, the D was getting pressure. Do it. |

They rolled out a ton behind Evans and Strief and avoided the Hills/Kelemete side of the field.

Rolling out to avoid pressure. You think he watched the Indy vs Houston game?

Not only does rolling out relieve some of the pocket pressure Drew was under... But it also alleviates some of that nervousness that Drew gets right before his untimely pick-6's... Plus at Drew's age, it doesn't hurt to get the blood flowing... |

Re: Sean Payton back in the saddle
If it works for a 40 yr. old Hasselbeck, it'll work for Brees. A side note tickets for tomorrow nights game Patriots vs Colts are going for $600 a seat!

As long as the Saints adjust to wherever the pressure is coming from, it will help tremendously. I don't want to see Drew go back to just standing around. |
