I know you're being sarcastic but eager to see how the team responds.

Can we put together a complete game after a big win and 10 days rest?

You guys kill me with all the Colston bashing. I've watched every f***ing player we have drop balls this year but all you hear is the bashing of Colston.
He's still the only receiver we have that will make the tough catches over the middle.

Don't think anyone on this board is bashing the Great M Colston however I do think it is ok for him take a back seat and allow other young guys that are 100% get the much needed reps. He simply isn't the same player due to injury and age.

It just sucks that he is no longer the player he once was. He will always be remembered (at least in my book) as one of the greatest Saints ever :bng:.

Colston seems to have been injured all season.
If his injuries are preventing top shelf play, then he should re-coup and heal, then come back.
It's hard to watch of late after having seen his dynamics.
It was never speed or quickness but tenacity;
making the tough catches in traffic and taking the licks;
and he has taken a LOT of licks.
Over the years he got stretched out and laid open more than any other receiver we had.
It just seems to have taken it's toll.

Agreed. I think it's the end for him and he's certainly not what he used to be. But the comfort level between he and Brees has got to factor in. Brees needs all the continuity he can get. Hell, the entire team does.

I'm having a hard time thinking Colston is done. I love the guy. I may be in denial over this one. I might be wrong but I'm expecting a turnaround for the good from him. I'll admit he hasn't looked good and has dropped catchable balls alot more than usual but I just got a feeling he's going to catch fire one more time. I do think in reality we need to look at a big body WR in the draft. We passed on a few in the last 2 drafts (2nd-4th round)that could be paying big right now.

I truly believe that Colston would improve his game with an eye exam. Aging athletes lose their vision before they lose their skills quite often.
