The two rub play TDs are tough to deal with when you are in man. If we wer in zone those would not be scores.

Exactly what I mentioned during live chat, when they lined up on the goal line in that formation the play should have been changed to zone coverage.

That Dunbar hit was incredible, the running back literally ran into a brick wall

The only thing for me was how bad we were at locating the ball on deep throws (and the TD throw on Swann.) Friggin awful. If we can't shore that up then we'll be in trouble if future OCs try to exploit.

I can't recall a game before this one where the opponent took so many shots, although I didn't get to watch Eagles. The only reason Indy was in it at all was the two long TDs... That's definitely our Achilles heel, which is very frustrating because we've been doing everything else so well. Well...that and backbreaking
Browner/Breaux penalties.

It just seems like we're so close to pulling it all together, hopefully it happens sooner than later.

we knew what we were getting and injuries have only added to the penlites.

Hopefully Breaux work on tracking the deep ball pass, I think he need better contact lens

Any one else find it peculiar that Brees threw the ball 48+ times and not a single PI call on the Giants secondary?

I know on one play; Snead was bear hugged and ran through before the ball got there. Giant defender jumps up acting like he made a spectacular play when he noticed there was no laundry on the field...

That one play made me sick to my stomach :puke:

And I know Browner is a penalty machine, but one of the holding calls was total garbage.

Another facemask against Ingram not called.

And more.

Their offensive line, #76 and #77, were HOLDING at least every other play. That's why Cam Jordan slowed down. They called it like twice. It happened like 12 times.

Refs tried to give this game to the Giants but the defense played through all that BS. The media is coming down on the D but they allowed the Giants to convert (1 out of 8 )3rd downs. They were solid against the run which led to manning to throw the ball

Don't believe the hype the media is putting out their, yes they weren't playing the best defense and a lot was exposed but I expect them to correct it and get back to the D we were praising about for weeks

This is Breaux's first season playing in the NFL - basically a rookie. By this time next year, he'll be a Beast.

Why would you think the mainstream media would write or say something dumb involving the Saints?

Oh, yeah...never mind.

Know one thing, the Saints defensive backs coach needs to run a drill with...

a JUGS Field General set on 'Random'...

http://blackandgold.com/u/5271-albums105-picture889.jpe

And pair Cornerbacks with Safeties in one and one drills...

As well as individual sideline drills...

Just working on tracking the football in the air...

Each secondary defender needs an hour of work per day in said drill...

'Cause we can't track a ball in the air for sh^t!!!

The deep ball is definitely killing this d... sad thing is byrd has made zero impact with that. Game by game byrd looks like more and more of a bust. What a shame, Pierre Warren would have played those deep balls better.

Browner and Byrd might be the worst signings in saints history.

The defense ROCKED yesterday.
How many times did they STUFF the run?
I saw pressure, aggressiveness, and of lot of great play from the D.
2 of the Giants TDs were freak accidents, the last passing TD was a pinpoint laser from Manning, and a Lynn Swann catch.
People, Eli Manning, and his receivers, particularly the guy from Newman,
were on fire! The '85 Bears couldnt have kept these guys out of the endzone.
Mostly, Like Marques Colston. They got it done, when it counted. Giants last
series was a PUNT.

This D has come a long way, and will get better.
Very encouraged.
call me crazy.

When you live in certain cities, you HAVE TO BEAT BOTH THE REFS AND THE OTHER TEAM. :brood:
Why do you think Archie didn't want his son in San Diego?

I'm really surprised to see Byrd having these issues at center field. Seems to be a step or two late.

Should we blame the prior injuries?
