But yeah, I wasn't excited about the defense yesterday, though the score made it look worse than it was. There were some huge mistakes out there that had nothing to do with the Giants. The Giants were lucky in that sense, but it still means the defense was responsible for screwing it up. That said, you can't not be excited about scoring 52. Offense has been this team's identity for a decade. So even when the defense struggles, when you can score like that, it feels like the old days (not the old, old days). If the defense becomes somewhat consistent, this team has a chance to win any game on the schedule now. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.
