I was there!

As you may or may not know, my Wife has taken me to New Orleans for my 50th birthday present to watch the Giants and Titans games. Have watched the first one and have an incredibly sore throat and my head is still spinning. Could not believe what I was witnessing (or hearing from my Wife) It also happened to be our sixth wedding anniversary so what a present that was. Looking forward to Tennessee next but hope we maintain our offensive run and hope we remember to pack our defense. Sitting in a hotel courtyard just mulling over yesterday. Anyway, toodle-pip.

I never noticed until now that you are not from around here. I don't know what toodle-pip means, but right back atcha.

Hopefully you and your wife will enjoy the next game even more than the last. That will mean good things for all of us. If we win by something like 50 points I will personally start a fund to keep you two in Louisiana for at least the remainder of the season.

Was just thinking WTF re: tootle-pip as well. Over the years I have worked on quite a few projects with British companies and engineering groups. Sitting in meetings I understand every word they say and not really know what the hell they are talking about. Just goes to reinforce that the UK and US are two countries divided by a common language, ya'll.

Hey, my wife and I are coming into New Orleans on Wednesday evening and will also be going to the Titans game on Sunday. I'd love to get a chance to meet another B&G member! Let me know if you might be interested.

Toodle-pip is an antiquated British term meaning goodbye. Normally reserved for someone like Bertie Wooster of Jeeves and Wooster fame, which was brilliantly played by Hugh Laurie with Stephen Fry as Jeeves.

I have seen the Saints many times my Wife hasn't seen as many but here's the thing: Whenever she has watched them live, and that is five times, they have never lost.

We'll be at the Roosevelt on Wednesday and Thursday night, and we'll be staying in Metairie Friday thru Sunday night, but I'll be roaming the French Quarter most every day and for sure Sunday morning. I gotta get me a couple of Long Island Iced Teas from Tropical Isle before we head to the Dome.

You have to be down in the Quarter Sunday morning and walk to the Dome. Maybe several of us could meet up.

We are in the French Quarter and it is a good walk to the 'dome. Even better walking back after a win.

Staying just outside the FQ, but definitely walking to the Dome Sunday morning. My friend wants to check out all the activities in Champions Square since its her first game in New Orleans! Hopefully I will run across yourself and other forum members!

Then I would say Champions Square would be the place to be. We will be in The Square between 10-11:00. If you see a 6', large-ish (though I will say the clothes I wear make me look fat) bald man with 5'2" woman with black hair, that's me. Chances are I will be wearing a Kikaha shirt as we are travelling to the Black and Gold shop today (bye-bye money, it was fun while you lasted)

Back from the Black and Gold shop. Will be wearing an Ingram jersey on Sunday (I actually like Mr. Ingram and think he is better than what some people think) However, I am now having to dance and sing on Bourbon Street for money. Unfortunately I now owe the people $3.40c!

Maybe they should put your wife on the payroll and make sure she's watching live each week.
