I think it was the right call. But it kind of seemed like the refs couldn't make up their mind whether to call it or not, that's what was messed up.

no brainer call, it was frequent, he was pulling the mask sideways like pissed off at himself for pispour kick

Only the person fumbling the ball can advance it when fumbled in the last 2:00 minutes. The recovery counted but not the advance of the ball. The face mask penalty is applied from the spot of the fumble. A very long winded: YES!
