Yeah, there are any number of things they could have done to off-set the pressure, but never did. Running only works if you can get yards. They weren't worried about whether the Saints were running or not, they just kept loading the box in hopes of getting pressure. So when the Saints ran, it was right into the pile. That's why you either roll Drew out or, as you said, run more screens. They kept trying play-action....... Really Payton? That just gives them more time to get to Drew.
