SP wanted to make the commute from Dallas to New Orleans when hired. He was told you'll live here. I doubt if he stays when his sentan......er contract is up.

Not a legal mind here but just a diabolical thought for Tom Benson to enhance the Saint experience in New Orleans, LA.

Consider public ownership to ensure this team never leaves NOLA.

Make this Green Bay Packers - NOLA style!

Unfortunately, a Packer stock certificate is framed in hubby's office.
Packers can never leave Green Bay, WI.

Just a thought and a way to preserve the choice TB made to stay in NOLA after San Antonio came a courting.

State of Louisiana ended up essentially financing the purchase of the team for Tom Benson (Any Car Salesman could own the team right now)...

I think the NFL has banned that from every happening again. And IIRC it wasn't even Goodell, it was under Tag's reign.

Watched Inside New Orleans Sports with Eric Asher...

Guests were Larry Holder (TP/Nola.com) and Sean Fazende (FOX-NO Sports)...

Now this was before today's game...

They were strongly suggesting the rumors about Payton Leaving were coming out of his camp...

They discussed if the Saints would be shrewed enough to hold out and demand compensation...

Okay, those are "credible" sources discussing Payton possibly putting together an exit plan...

Here's my thing, if he wants out, fine; if he geauxs somewhere else, we must get compensation...

SP has the owner and GM wrapped around his finger. There's no way he's leaving unless it's on his terms.

Sean Fazende does work for Tom Benson and the Times-Picayune and Benson are vary 'cozy'...

This aren't you're run-of-the-mill talking heads out of Bristol, Connecticut; these are guys at Saints HQ everyday in the season they're not covering a game...

But they have reputations themselves and can't imagine them spouting off without having seen/smelled some smoke to those rumors...
