The New Orleans Saints have never fired an assistant coach during the season under Sean Payton. That has to change during the bye week.

It's time to fire defensive coordinator Rob Ryan. It's time for senior defensive assistant Dennis Allen to take over for the final six games this season.

The Saints made Kirk Cousins look like Tom Brady on his best day as Washington utterly whipped New Orleans, 47-14, at FedEx Field in one of the most embarrassing losses in the Payton era. The Saints displayed one of the worst defensive performances I've ever witnessed in Payton's 10 seasons.

It was worse than any game I can recall -- even taking into account former coordinator Steve Spagnuolo's lone historically bad season in 2012.

It may be too late to save the season no matter who they fire.

I agree but something has to change. The defense is absolutely awful.

Screen pass for a TD !!!!! Oh wait, they just scored again. Washington was on their own 10 yard line. They end up scoring. Sad just plain sad. Your FIRED ROB.

The reason we need to fire rob isn't to save the season it's to see if Allen should get the job next year. If Allen takes over and there isn't enough improvement then you know a new DC is needed for 2016. This season is long gone, it's all about next year now.

This Who Dat got it right and he wasn't alone at FedEx today. Saw a lot of Fire RR signs in the crowd.

Allen is coaching the d backs who made Cousins look like Brady. In my view the injuries have hurt us. We have linebackers playing in this game who were not on the team until the last 2 weeks. Offense did not play ball control or anything else...it seemed. Tough week. Young team will improve if we can keep out the chicken little crowd.

^So where are people like you that appear to know more about the defense at other times while we are blaming RR?
