Re: Things you will miss about RR the most
More than anything else I will miss seeing Jairus Byrd standing around distantly, lined up 40+ yards away from the line of scrimmage, while the whole 3rd and 10 play unfolds successfully, 30+ yards away from him. On some downs it felt like we were playing 10 against 11, and sometimes it made absolutely NO sense. Byrd would stand there and jog a few feet in the general direction of the play, and then the whistle would sound, first down. All of it 25 yards away from him. There were people in the plaza seats who would actually be closer to the game and the action than Byrd was positioned. How can you be a supposed turnover machine on your own 35 when the ball is on the other team's 20.
Seriously, that will be the first thing I am looking for different, in the Dome next time against the Panthers. If Byrd is back there deep like he's expecting to field spontaneous punts on 1st, 2nd and 3rd down, I will be annoyed. |
