You know thinking about it I agree with that Rugby, Coach instilled a lot of confidence and support to Drew. The two had this instant connection from day one. Also good article.

He was a disaster until Payton and the Saints gave him the support and system he needed...
Too bad when it came to contract time, he couldn't reciprocate the same team-first philosophy... Happy for the success he's had with the Saints; too bad he and his agent had to limit it with that albatross contract... |

Brees is NOT the reason the Saints are in the shape they are in! If the rest of the team prepared AND played as hard as Brees does the Saints would be un-beatable! |
