I stand corrected and thank you. now i can say this about the blame game going on in the media

Rod you were the worse thing to happen to the saints since Katrina. second easiest schedule and you were still the 32 ranked defense and to make matters worse they looked like it. Game in game out the defense was behind the lamp shade completely out of place to attend the party at burningmetal place.

Good news is some of the teams we have played are starting to win so the SOS might just flip in our favor by season end. Right now the we are shingle in the SOS. But with Rob gone that last S will not weigh as much.

Already starting the talk about where we are drafting...

Here is a huge problem now... improvement under Allen will drop our draft pick!

Re: Were do we stand now?

We stand in a muddled pack of mediocrity in the NFC. At 4-6, if we manage to rise to .500 again at 6-6 or 7-7, there is no telling where we could land after that. Get our foot in the door and shock the world.

And tanking should never even be an option in professional competitive sports. Be in it to win it. If you ain't, quit what you're doing and go apply for a job on the night shift at Taco Bell.

Re: Were do we stand now?

You play your heart out until the final whistle of the final game. If I were coach I would do everything in my power to win until my team was eliminated and out of the playoffs. I would motivate my players to play for their jobs.

But if we aren't going to the playoffs then I would get film on my younger players who would see an increase in their snap count. Besides playing time will help season the rookies and give them valuable experience.

I would be tempted to go for it on 4th and long as well as run a lot of gadget plays for evaluation purposes. Play the back up QB(whoever it is)and play hard but lose.

Tampa had a much better draft spot after tanking to us last year. Basically we lost the equivalent of a high draft pick needed to trade up just a few spots.

I am not advocating quitting or having players ease off.......in fact I want to see the best out of every player on the field.

Just play. let the chips fall. It doesn't seem to matter where we draft, we still will pick players who will be out of the league or off the roster within 2years.

In the place where we live.... now face north, think about direction and why you haven't before.
