Saints left tackle Terron Armstead’s knee ‘a lot better’ after bye week

Left tackle Terron Armstead has been having a breakout season despite battling a knee injury that knocked him out of two games in October.

Armstead wasn’t able to practice at all in the week leading up to the Washington game.

But the bye week was big for Armstead as he tries to get back to full strength.

“Helps to have when you’re trying to get back healthy,” Armstead said. “It’s still not completely there, but it’s a lot better. ”

Armstead, who returned to practice on Wednesday on a limited basis, spent the bye week in New Orleans rehabbing, a practice that several players battling nagging injuries, including rookie linebacker Hau’oli Kikaha, did to maintain their injuries.

“That’s for a lot of the guys on the team,” Armstead said. “We’ve been pretty much here the whole bye week.”
