Held out the end zone for first time under Sean Payton

1 Attachment(s)
Unable to put the ball in the end zone, the Saints snapped a streak of 155 games with a touchdown, the second-longest in NFL history and a run that dated to before Payton was hired. Brees, who was sacked twice by Watt and spent most of the day under fire, saw a streak of 45 straight games with a touchdown pass end, snapping a stretch that ranked fifth in NFL history.

Overwhelmed by Houston’s defensive front and a secondary that often took away Brees’ options, the Saints put up 260 yards, the first time since a December 2013 loss to Seattle that New Orleans failed to break the 300-yard barrier.

It's not like the saints were not knocking. they had their shots and blew it. some because of the defense and some from trying to push it.

Bye week...plenty of time to prepare...FLAT. Evidently Rob wasn't the problem, but blamed for Katrina etc... In fact the lackluster performance by the team indicate that they were not motivated positively by the firing. The negative performance shows me that they were in fact negatively influenced by the firing. It seems obvious to me by the performance that the players did not like the firing of Ryan and are all bummed by the actions of the hierarchy. Real problem not fixed. Scapegoating seldom works.

OL sucks. Once the Texans hit Drew a couple times all he did was look for his first read and threw the ball away to avoid the hits. On his INT at the goaline he had a WIDE open Spiller in the corner of the endzone. No one was even close to Spiller.

The thing that really irks me is that our own teddybarexxx is turning out to be right about our offensive inefficiencies and we've given him so much crap.

This should tell you that it would be asinine to the asinineth degree to get rid of coach who was held out of the end zone once in 10 years.

^He was making tha chats painful. But it's been that way since he left. I decided to track the game on SR and the mood while negative is actually much better.

maybe not but Payton's Playcalling lost the game. If it's gonna take two years to be a contender, why do we need to hold on for something that may not happen then due to decline. Brees will be the age Manning is now then. He may decline that year.

Wow!!!

SR was less negative than B&G?

Never in a million years would I have thought that.

this is where we are screwing up. It has been pretty aPParent Spiller has been more effective at the goal line. Why we don't get him involved there knowing Brees cannot find a open receiver there I don't know. They need to quit throwing at the goal line or trying to find a open receiver. We can't ever find them open.

One time in 10 years…..I'll take it. I think it's the overall program demise that's bringing the heat.

Since the Saints didn't score a touchdown does that mean "Even though we lost the game the Texans didn't feel anything the next day?" That indeed would be reason for OUTRAGE!!!
