I don't see any way that we don't add to our already ridiculous amount of dead money in 2016.

Pretty much expected that with the exception of Elerbie. I would like to see him hang around at least through camp next year to see if he can stay healthy. We are immedietly better when he is in.
I think getting rid of Brees is a mistake.

I guess anything can happen i.e. Jimmy G. I have a hard time seeing us get rid of Drew. It will all comes down to who's the coach &/or GM.

Replace Murphy with Byrd and that wouldn't be an unrealistic list...

Only way Brees is on there is if Payton leaves...

I'm with you on this one. Brees and Payton era is over. If Payton stays Brees will ask to be dealt. I don't agree with Byrd. We paid for him and he's been pretty solid. We would have to address his position anyway if he left. The pieces are in place for us to have a pretty damn good defensive backfield if we get a pass rusher and ****can Browner.
Maybe talk him into restructuring. We kind of have him over a barrel. Nobody will pay him after seeing how he started his career here. He will have to choose either restructure or sit out.

Yeah, agree with most of the people chosen but don't think Brees, Spiller or Robinson are going anywhere. Elerbe needs a new contract with incentives for performance. If he stays hurt half the season again, well he should make vet min. I wouldn't mind keeping Strief or Evans at a way reduced rate for veteran leadership/backup. They still know how to play but are getting to old to do it at the level needed. If I had to choose between the two, I would keep Strief for the role mentioned.
