Re: where is CJ Spiller?
How can he do anything if he's either not in the field or not getting the ball? Not that I disagree but I still think it's an injury issue. He looked like a decoy today more than anything. And it led to a TD

Re: where is CJ Spiller?
Looks to me the writing is on the wall, Spiller is done in New Orleans. Seriously, Hightower gets 28 carries to Spiller's 3? Just not looking good for Spiller at this point.

Re: where is CJ Spiller?
He hasn't been given much of a chance, but he's done virtually nothing with what chances he's had. I don't get why... This guy was a dynamic talent just a couple of years ago, and he's still young. He doesn't look elusive or powerful, or anything positive right now.
I think it's too soon to be thinking about getting rid of him, though. 3 years left on his contract... And I don't think we'd get anything in a trade. They let Ingram plod his way around for 3 years before he ever showed any glimmer of ability. |
If I had a nickel for every time I heard that, the NFL would fine and suspend me.

If the front off would cut him (which I don't think they will do), that would be a panic move more than anything else. Side note: For whatever reason he doesn't run fluid. Hips appear to be stiff with little lateral speed. I'm starting to wonder if he is still nursing that off season injury, no? |

It does make one wonder just how healthy he is. |

He can barely change direction when he runs, my dad could elude more defenders than Spiller can.

Re: where is CJ Spiller?
Did you see him miss the blitz pickup and got Brees sacked?? That's what keeps you on the bench. He is struggling with the playbook and to me it appears he doesn't trust his knee yet to make cuts. But until he learns the playbook and picks up a blitz before releasing for a pass, his ass will ride the pine.
