Saints have found their 'next Lance Moore' in Willie Snead
You've made quite a dent into the history of an NFL franchise when a fan base is clamoring for the next "you."
Lance Moore seemed like one of the unlikeliest of candidates back for that scenario when he scratched and clawed his way onto the New Orleans Saints' 53-man roster for first-year head coach Sean Payton in 2006. Moore worked his way from undrafted free agent from Toledo to fan favorite after eight seasons with the Saints full of sure-handed catches, creative end zone dances and one Super Bowl title.  There's been a search for the "next Lance Moore" ever since the Saints released him after the 2013 season. "Yeah, I mean that's a pretty cool thing," Moore said. "And obviously I had a lot of success there and people are looking for somebody to replace me or be the next me there, but they (the Saints) have some really good guys." read more | |
