Re: Game Day Thread, MNF- Lions @ Saints
That is really gonna blow about the weather. I was really looking forward to this game as being FUN, a chance to cut loose, start in the Chart Room or Aunt Tiki's, walk up from the Quarter, hang around on the street corner on Poydras with a beer in a bag, hit Champions Square, and then roll in and enjoy a heck of a game. Now it looks like it's going to turn into a SLOG, one of those games with wet shoes/clothes and blasting freezing AC in the Dome, slippery aisles and goodness knows what else. Oh well. I bet you the lines will be slow to get in the stadium, everyone will get soaked, and then they will have the AC pointlessly CRANKED in the Dome! It always happens that way. When it's raining I usually change it up and park in the armpit of the city, and use the Claiborne Overpass as cover for the walk up to the stadium.

Re: Game Day Thread, MNF- Lions @ Saints
Looking forward to seeing our defense improve on mental mistakes.
I think thats the key for Dennis Allen moving forward. For 3 seasons we watched DB's look at each other asking who screwed up. Confusion and blown assignments haunted us under Ryan. I know we have a ton of injuries so I'm not expecting the 2000 Ravens, but I'd like to see some cohesiveness on assignment football, and perhaps better tackling and a whole hell of a lot of skull crushing passion. These guys are out of the playoffs, but fighting for their jobs. I wanna watch who still gives 100% and who has quit. I hope we cut the quitters and build upon the never say die fighters. |
