I'm on Sean Payton's bandwagon until the wheels fall off and we're dragging the wagon leaving deep groves in the road. If the horses die then they can hitch me up to the wagon and I'll pull it by myself. I'm in this for the duration of the ride. It's been one hell of a ride so far and I'm looking forward to the rest off this journey. Not only that I had to learn how to spell his name correctly. It's Sean Payton. Not Shawn Peyton. So, no way in Hell do I want Sean anywhere besides New Orleans! Besides, with all the fair weather fans jumping off the wagon I've got more elbow room for drinking with true Who Dats! |

Offense did nothing first half. Wait are you of the mindset that it's natural because of the offense scoring 6 in the sb first half? We need oline protection and a receiver who can bail Cooks out when he' facing peterson or Norman. And next year Talib, Sherman, Jenkins, Carr additionally. |
Re: Sean
sorry I can not hang the offensive issues on SP. Two years straight everyone got what they wanted and the saints went defense in the draft and free agency. SP did not apply the defensive philosophy to players the saints added over that time. That was Robs brain child.
Unlike the many games we have seen from the saints under Rob the saints no longer give up. SP biggest mistake was letting ROB go after the players that Rob said would make his defense work. Failed plan and simple. No I can not hang a coach that has the ability to take an offense year in and year out that ranks at or near elite levels. I just can not do it. Yell about the people he has put faith into? sure been doing that since before the ink dried on Robs contract. As an offensive coach that excels in half time adjustments? nope lets see if DA gets the job as DC. So far DA has made adjustments on the fly with a very thin selection of players and for the most part is doing a better job coaching than Rob. i am 100% behind the man. still. |
Re: Sean
So who's going to replace him? No way Saban leaves Alabama, he's gets his pick of 5* recruits every year and only loses a game or two a season while being paid like a Saudi prince.
I could see Payton here next season but if this ship keeps sinking then I doubt he sees 2017 with the Saints. Another thing, he might want to sober up before talking to a national reporter on ESPN. Dude looked and sounded like he had just got off the plane from a three day bender last night and drove to the Superdome |

Re: Sean
Sean stays if he gives the playing calling duties to Carmichael & allows Dennis Allen to choose is own coaching staff.
|
Re: Sean
I dont get this give the playcalling to Carmichael. He didn't pull up any trees the year Payton was out. It was the same predictable plays as always.
Oh and before anyone starts with the "we have one of the highest rated offenses" runbish. Thats yards per game. They dont win you games, points do and not regularly going 3 snd out. Its easy to pile up yards when you start every drive on the 20 because your defense has more holes than a sieve |
