Unless SP and others don't feel that Flynn/Garrett aren't ready, I do not see any reason for Brees to play the rest of the season.

Although I wouldn't mind him playing to sweep the failclowns!

You won't get a much better chance to get Grayson some much needed game time.

Before we know it, Brees will be done and we'll be starting QB's who have only ever played against 3rd string defenses.

No way is Brees not going to try and play. If Grayson plays and looks good the team has the power when negotiating a new deal or has the pption of a trade. Brees like anyone wants to play and not risk loosing the jersey

Yep:
1. 400-yard passing games. Looks likely today. Would number 13. Peyton Manning holds the NFL record with 14.
2. Consecutive seasons with 30 TD passes. On his way to another. Extend the streak to NFL record of eight.
3. Career seasons with 30 TD passes. On his way to another. Would put Brees in sole number 1 position with 10, ahead of Peyton Manning
4. Games with more than one TD pass. Already in 4th place on his own. Needs another 10 or so (moving target) to get to Tom Brady.

Cant blame anyone for Byrd. It looked a great move but injuries seem to have taken their toll.

Not sure the dead money on Byrd though i think it would be high. Going to be alot of dead money next year again
