Could Sunday be the final home game for Saints' 2006 trio of Marques Colston, Jahri Evans, Zach Strief?
To that end, Payton relayed a story this offseason about Colston that explained his "Quiet Storm" nickname and why he was revered by his teammates and coaches over years. It was after the Saints' 23-15 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in the 2013 NFC Divisional playoffs. Colston had scored in the final minute to pull the Saints' within one touchdown, but the game ended bizarrely on his desperation forward lateral near midfield.
As the Saints entered the sullen postgame locker room at CenturyLink Field, Payton found himself behind Colston, who abruptly punched his hand into a concrete wall. "I remember thinking, 'He had to break a bone in his hand,'" Payton said. "I also remember thinking, 'This guy. Give me him. He epitomizes what we want (in a player).'" I think so....also heard spiller isn't playing today. Coaches decision, so it will be his last game in the dome too.

All good things come to an end, maybe a little late, maybe not. Good memories.

I think Evans is back, still a fairly big cap hit to let him go. I see him taking a pay cut and possibly the same with Strief. Both would be good spot starters/back ups. Colston just costs too much for what he offers now sadly. Hopefully both Spiller and Browner are gone.
If Lewis gets fit him and Breux is s bice 1-2 at CB |
