I think ultimately Loomis, Payton and Brees have Benson's complete trust and he won't look to get rid of any of them. However, the wild card remains whether or not Payton will ask to be let go. Drew's shelf-life is waaaay shorter than Payton's so of course he wants to keep the band together until their farewell tour, but Payton might want a fresh start. We'll see.

Seriously, why would Payton want to leave?

He has complete control over the roster.

He has arguably one the the best QB's in history still playing at an extremely high level.

He is the highest paid head coach in the entire league.

He just built a new home in New Orleans.

He has easy access to his son playing in Dallas.

Why in the hell would he "ask to be let go"? Are you frickin' serious?

Please tell me you got this notion from one of those dumb asses like Rapaport or La Canfora and didn't come to this idiotic conclusion on your own.
