Drew Brees, Tim Hightower win FedEx Air, Ground Player of the Week awards
The New Orleans Saints swept the FedEx Players of the Week awards thanks to dominating performances by quarterback Drew Brees and running back Tim Hightower against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Saints defeated the Jaguars, 38-27.
Brees, with a torn plantar fascia, earned the FedEx Air Player of the Week after completing 25-of-36 passes for 412 yards and three touchdowns. Hightower won the FedEx Ground Player of the Week award for totaling 122 yards on 27 carries and scoring two TDs.
