Might it be a ploy to put pressure on Brees to restructure?

And what of the Rooney rule?

SP also coached at the Giants.
I will give Peter King credit, he didn't flat out LIE and say "Sources are telling us Sean Payton is very likely interested in San Fran" or that it's a done deal. He said he doesn't know and said San Fran has a lot of draft picks with a CEO/Owner that has credibility issues. That's attractive for any coach, except for the Jed York part. Under his watch Harbaugh was pushed out. Didn't exactly work out so well for the 49ers.

Gotta love the Whiner fans thinking that it's a fait accompli and merely for a second rounder.

They'd have to give up a chunk of their starting defense.... and a 2nd round pick... and a chunk of cash.

I disagree... except one would he leave one aging QB for another? At least he knows what he has here.

If SP leaves, maybe we can sign away Bill Belichik.

Trade him for a high speed rail across the Causeway. That commute is killing me.

If Sean leaves my hope is that Bress does restructure an extension and Pete Carmicheal stays on as the OC. He can run our O with Drew. A defensive minded head coach would be nice since we cannot get a DC in spite of our efforts to do so.
